GAAMT accredits church-based ministry training
WHO WE ARE
GAAMT (Global Accreditation Association for Ministries and Training) is a registered non-profit that accredits church-based, non-formal theological education and ministry training programs across the Majority World.
GAAMT was established in 2020 to provide accreditation for church-based ministry training (often referred to as non-formal theological education) that falls outside the scope of traditional academic institutions. It grew out of the South Asia Non-Formal Theological Education Forum, where church network leaders and theological educators recognized a growing need: to support and strengthen what churches themselves were already doing to train their own members for ministry, in their own contexts, in their own language.
A few areas of focus include: ministry training for all grassroot church believers, and theological education in the local language and culture of the learner.
WHAT WE DO
GAAMT offers accreditation to well-developed ministry training programs run by churches or church networks. Church-based programs that provide biblical teaching, shape character formation, and equip learners for ministry can receive GAAMT accreditation at the following levels:
Certificate of Ministry (Cert.Min)
Diploma of Ministry (Dip.Min)
Bachelor of Ministry (B.Min)
Master of Ministry (M.Min)
Doctor of Ministry (D.Min)
We do not accredit seminaries or Bible colleges that offer formal theological degrees such as Bachelor of Theology (B.Th), Master of Divinity (M.Div), or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D).
GAAMT has also been offering consultancy services to help strengthen curriculum development and teaching skills among Majority World church leaders, pastors, and church-appointed teachers.
