VISION MISSION POSTURE
GAAMT VISION
GAAMT's vision is for local churches to take primary responsibility for equipping disciples who fulfil the Great Commission. We see more and more local churches using biblically grounded ministry training developed in their own language for their own contexts. We see these church-based programs forming spiritually mature disciples from within congregations. We see these newly equipped followers of Jesus going into all the world to make disciples and form discipleship communities.
GAAMT POSTURE
Our accreditation posture is to support and walk alongside local churches and church networks involved in non-formal theological education and ministry training. We aim to be dialogue partners who listen and learn how churches train. We commit to long-term partnerships that go beyond program recognition or certificates.
We focus on encouraging programs rooted in local churches that equip the whole body of Christ. We strengthen these programs. We respect local approaches and avoid imposing foreign or academic standards.
We also connect churches with other churches and church-networks. We encourage an open-source culture of curriculum sharing, development, and adaptation. Churches are free to learn from one another and build what fits their context.
GAAMT MISSION
GAAMT exists to strengthen church-based non-formal theological education and ministry training across the Majority World. We recognize and accredit non-formal ministry training programs that are biblically grounded and rooted in the life of local churches. We support churches and church-networks as they form leaders for local mission with a Great Commission vision.
We do this by:
Walking alongside churches and training networks as trusted partners
Affirming and encouraging local training efforts
Connecting partners to a global fellowship of mutual learning and support
